Limits

Claude Code works in the terminal and supports VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, and compatible editors. In Pro and Max it shares the common Claude plan limits with chat; Console/API is billed by API usage. Redesigned Projects are in beta for select Claude Pro and Max subscribers who use cloud sessions in Claude Code. A coordinator chat directs parallel cloud threads. Each thread is a full Claude Code cloud session on its own branch. Parallel threads consume usage faster. Threads on your machine or behind your network are coming later. Chat and Cowork projects stay as they are for now. From Claude Code 2.1.280 the default on Pro and Team Standard changed from Sonnet to Opus, and the default Opus is Opus 5.5 (claude-opus-5-5), matching Max, Team Premium and Enterprise. /model still switches. Seat prices are unchanged.

How we compare

We compare free access, paid entry, plan limits, features and the listed official sources. Unsourced figures stay marked as not published.

Only confirmed entries appear in the catalog. Prices, plans and limits come from listed official vendor pages. Missing figures stay marked as not published. Search results are ordered by Task match by default; category and task lists are alphabetical. Both can be switched to Free access first; neither is a quality ranking. The vendor page always wins.
